Comrade Uzo Nwosu Donates Furnished Class Room Buildings to School
Azigbo, a quiet town in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra state that hardly gets mentioned, has been remembered by a man whose passion for education is not in doubt. One of the major problems facing towns like Azigbo is the near lack of government’s effective presence, thus dilapidated schools and other public institutions are common sight and truly, most times government alone cannot take care of all the needs of the people. Hence, Comrade Uzo Nwosu has risen to the occasion and shown that he is a man driven by his passion to make the society better, using every means within his reach. To this end, Uzo Nwosu has gifted the community a new and furnished school block to give the students exciting learning experience and also strengthen efforts at transforming lives and destinies through education.
This gift from Comrade Uzo Nwosu, Nnewi born Chevron Director, to Azigbo Central School is his own way of not only giving back to the society, but an elegant testament to his commitment to sustainable projects whose target is to shape the society for the better. The building which was a departure from the old block was also furnished with all necessary educational materials and equipment for students, as well as convenience facilities thereby upgrading the school’s outlook and standard. Before now, tens of people have also benefited from his scholarship programme.
It may be recalled that in 2019, Comrade Uzo Nwosu vied for House of Representatives on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance- APGA, to represent Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, but the party later gave the ticket to Tony Nwabunike who then lost to the incumbent, Chris Azubogu. Undeterred, Uzo Nwosu has gone on to impact the society in his own terms within his means, keeping faith with his commitment to leaving the society healthier than he met it, with or without government.
Comrade Uzo Nwosu is also the Convener of Reality Forum, an association that is dedicated to championing citizens’ awareness and commitment towards civic responsibilities.
