CYON, St. Patrick’s Cathedral Awka Holds Skill and Talent Hunt Competition

​Today at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka. Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON),  Awka Diocese Holds Maiden Regional Based Skills, Talents Hunt Competition
The competition which started with Concelebrated Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Catholic bishop of Awka Diocese, His Excellency Most Rev. P. C Ezeokafor featured exhibition of electrical works, fashion works (Male & female), sculpture, fine art, Graphic works, architectural works, Igbo proverbial sayings (Itu ilu Igbo), flute blowing (Igbu oja), comedy show, dance, special rendition from choristers, among others.

   The action packed event had people from all walks of life in attendance notable among who were the chief chaplain of CYON, Awka Diocese, Rev. Fr. Alexander Okoli of the Holy Family Spiritual Year Seminary, Okpuno, the traditional ruler of Awka, Igwe Gibson Nwosu, the national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, the Young Progressive Party (YPP) candidate for Aguata II State Constituency and the immediate past chairman of Awka Diocesan Laity Council, Hon. Comrade Emma Ezeokafor (Chairman of the occasion); Executive Assistant (EA) to Governor Willie Obiano on Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners, Hon. Comrade Tochukwu Obiadi.
